Is Hostgator a Good Host For a News Website?

I am searching for a good news website hosting service, that is cheap. Is hostgator a good choice?
they are ok
If you are looking at their shared hosting accounts then the Hatchling one is ok but only allows for 1 website. If you dont need to put up more then one then that should work out fine.
Their Baby Account allows for Unlimited websites but is almost double in price.
Also be sure to really check their prices cause the ones they advertise on their page are only if you prepay for like 3 years in advance.

Hatchling account advertised price is $4.95
If you want to pay month to month its $9/month with a $5 setup fee.
To get the $4.95 price you need to prepay for 3 years?!?!?
That comes out to about $178 you need to pay up front.
I heard that Hostgator is good but their support service isn’t very good. I never used them so I can say just what I have heard. Another great host is supposedly Blue host. It is also very cheap and popular. One advice, when you are looking for hosts don’t always pick it by the lowest price. You will see later that the service is the most important one. If the service and support are bad than what’s the point?

For website hosting, I would recommend that you go with either HostGator, GoDaddy or WebhostingPad. Check out my website that has a bunch of coupons on there. You can save quite a bit of money.

I have had no problems with HostGator and am using them. They have top notch support from what I have experienced.
I recommend http://www.papatiger.com for any kind of hosting, especially news website.
I use hostgator for all my needs.
I have several types of websites. Many wordpress blogs, and that works great.
Im using a dedicated server myself. The speed and the up time here is great. Nothing to complain about what so ever.
Support has always been real good.
All in all I have no problems with hostgator at all, and I warmly recommend them to anyone with all needs.
