Great space, and quality. I think they’re even having some kind of unlimited deal now too.

If you have already purchased a domain, then search for a free web host. Freeweb7, before it was attacked, was an amazing free service. It has just barely gotten back on its feet. http://byethost.com/ is also an amazing free service that includes MySql and a bunch of other free options. I’d suggest running off of them and having your domain redirect to it.

If you are looking for an easy site builder, for example if your whole site and layout was deleted (or ypu just don’t know HTML), you can use freewebs.com

    hope that helps :D

i had to cancel my hosting with godaddy last year as well, cuz of their unprofessional service and tech support, i am now using jump launch from almost a year and so far am totally pleased with the service..cheap, reliable and a great tech support. their basic plan is for like $60/year, full ecommerce features including shopping carts and checkouts and user-friendly scripts.

my friend is using fatcow and he likes the service..i think they are running a promotion now for $66/year which is definitely a good deal

but i think you should check out http://www.freewebs.com/ultimatewebhostingcomparison/
it is a comparison website for top hosting providers (including fatcow, bluehost, jump launch..) their hosting plans prices, features, bonuses and a review rating on each one based on a poll rated by actual users
i think that would be worth checking so you can consider your possibilities fairly :) you can contact them for promotion coupons as well ( they will be glad to offer some )

hope that helps and if you need any further assistance, feel free to contact me emzy2310@yahoo.com…i had used several web hosting services over the past 3 years so maybe i might be able to help out :)

Fatcow is good. Bluehost is big but should be okay if you don’t have too much traffic. This is an interesting review about Fatcow http://hostingsthatsuck.com/fatcow-sucks

If you are having problem choosing a web hosting to use, I suggest you do the following:

    1. Go to the webhost review sites such as webhostingjury, hostingsthatsuck.com or webhostinggeeks and list down about 3 common top hosting companies.

    2. Next, for each web hosting X, do a “X sucks” search on Google. Read some complaints and see if you may encounter the same problems like them. Some of the complaints may relate to certain groups of users only such as VPS, dedicated server users or resellers. So you may not be affected if you are not from these categories.

    3. Eliminate those hostings you feel uncomfortable with, and look for the best bargain hosting for your money.

You have narrowed down to some of the best Fatcow and Bluehost. Maybe you can look at Webfaction too if you want to pay monthly.

Transferring domain is not that hard. You just need to be able to access your domain panel at Goddady and change your DNS servers. Good luck.
